A recent Old Dominion University spotlight highlights the power of internships—and the impact they can have on a student's future career. ODU alumnus Seth Smith completed six internships during his college journey, but one of his first opportunities came with Breeden Construction in the summer of 2023.
As a Project Management and Development Intern, Smith gained hands-on experience in construction operations, jobsite management, safety compliance and building relationships with industry partners. Those experiences helped him connect classroom learning with real-world application and set the foundation for future opportunities.
